A cross between Paul Westerberg, Tom Petty, Marshall Crenshaw and Peter Buck with hints of John Rzeznik and Tommy Keene is an accurate way to describe the music of Jorge Torrico. This relative newcomer to the Tulsa music scene can be frequently found plying his craft at one of many Tulsa open mics. With haunting ballads like “Back On Me” he is gaining a reputation as a songwriter with edge. His use of ear catching, iconic guitar intros as in “If You Need More” will grab you into lyrics that range from trivial to heart wrenching serious.
